“Abuse of power” – Mix reactions as Ibrahim Chatta threatens to arrest staff for injuring his horse (Video)

Ibrahim Chatta to arrest staff over horse

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Ibrahim Chatta has raised eyebrows online after he threatened to arrest one of his staff for injuring his horse.

In the viral clip, the actor, who was at his film village in Oyo State, revealed that he had sacked the staff twice but took him back because of pleas from his mother. He disclosed that the staff had stabbed his pregnant horse while attempting to capture it, despite how obedient and docile it is.

Describing it as animal cruelty, he threatened to arrest the staff, except social media users intervened.

The remorseful staff, who was seen kneeling while two men held him, begged the actor to forgive me. He used his being fatherless as an excuse, noting how he has no one except his mother.

“It is a sin against God. This is a very gentle horse, and I think she is pregnant. She is very gentle, and she doesn’t argue. But there is one of my stupīd workers; I have told people to hold him.

This is animal cruelty. If people on social media say I should leave you and you shouldn’t go to police station, I would let you go”, Ibrahim Chatta said in the video.

Social media users are reacting differently to the video with some slamming him for arresting his worker over a horse, while others called for him to sack the worker.

People are really badly behaved, mehn. I remember a time when he just bought the horses and some died that; he made a video of how much he bought them and all… I honestly can feel his pain. The guy needs to be taught some lesson.

One Amaka Amina wrote, “Please let him get a good vet that can begin treatment on the horse. Let him get the guy arrested and allow the police to do their job. People really don’t learn because when they do bad, they have someone or people that will beg for them or they will start calling God.

One Oluwatimileyin wrote, “This is sad. Many people are so cruel to animals in this part of the world, and it’s sad. I hope an example is made out of him and others learn their lesson”.

Last year, Peggy Ovire had arrested a production crew member for allegedly stealing gas cylinders and others on her movie set. The wife of Frederick Leonard narrated how she met him on one of her productions and had assisted him, only for him to steal the production’s equipment; unfortunately, he met his Waterloo.
