Joke Silva, others react as Dolapo Osinbajo bids emotional goodbye to Aso Rock

Dolapo Osinbajo, the wife of the outgoing Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, has bid an emotional goodbye to the presidential seat in Abuja, Aso Rock.

Dolapo Osinbajo, who had made Aso Rock her home for the past eight years, shared a lovely photo of herself and her husband, with their backs turned towards the camera.

The shared photo depicts the moment the couple accompanied each other out of a venue in a warm embrace.

Sharing the picture on her verified Instagram page, Dolapo Osinbajo appreciated God for the eight years spent in the Aso Rock.

She wrote, “Thanking God for 8 years.”

Nigerians including Ibukun Awosika, Ajoke Silva, and others reacted to Dolapo Osinbajo’s post with an appreciation note.

Ibukun Awosika appreciated the mother of three for her sacrifices in service to the country, wishing God’s blessings on the couple. She wrote, “Thank you for your sacrifices in your service to our country. God bless you both!!.”

Joke Silva, on her part, appreciated Dolapo and Yemi Osinbajo for their sacrifices to the nation, praying that they are alwaysembraced with the presence of God.

She wrote, “Yours has truly been sacrificial service on many fronts. THANK YOU from a grateful people who have no idea of the many “bullets” taken and doged on behalf of the Nation. As the journey continues in what ever form the Lord wishes may His Precence always enveloped you.”

A few days ago, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo took his successor, Kashim Shettima on a familiarisation tour of the Aso Rock villa.

Speaking after the tour, Shettima commended Osinbajo for taking him round the offices out of courtesy.

The Vice-President-elect said he was at the presidential villa to exchange ideas with Osinbajo on how to move the nation forward.

“On the instance of Vic-President, who is a friend and a contemporary, I came here just to exchange ideas on how to move the nation forward,” he said.

“He took me round the offices out of courtesy and I want to commend him, I want to thank him for extending that courtesy to me.”
