Sahara Reporters founder, Omoyele Sowore has reacted to news making the rounds about the rescue of some Yobe school girls by the military. About 94 girls were abducted few days ago from a girls school in Yobe State by the dreaded terrorist group, Boko Haram. Just yesterday, news broke out that the military, after an order by the president, have rescue some of the girls. Reacting to the news, Omoyele said the military troops sent to rescue the girls returned empty-handed contrary to claims made.
FLASH: At least 93 girls snatched fwhen Boko Haram terrorists attacked an all-girls high school in Dapchi , Yobe state are still missing as Nigerian troops sent to rescue them returned empty-handed
This opinion is also shared by many on social media. One of those who have called the rescue a falsehood is former avaiation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode who called it another fat lie.
No statement has been heard from the presidency concerning contrary opinions about the rescue carried out by the military on the orders of the president.
The Sahara Reporters founder recently lent his voice against the talk of President Muhammadu Buhari being unbeatable in the coming 2019 presidential election. Many of the supporters of the president have in recent times spoken of how a re-election is certain for the President especially after the huge turn out of people who came to welcome him in Kano during his visit to the State. Via a facebook post, he said,
People should jettison the illusion that President Muhammadu Buhari can’t be beaten in 2019, he sure can be beaten and beaten silly to put a permanent end to the delusion and despicable arrogance of members of his cabal!
